Hi All,
My lawyer & another person told me that UKBA is asking the applicants to fill a questionnaire when they go for PSC/PEO appointment. Did anyone recently had any experience like this ?

Some of the questions are like this :
1. During Past 5 years which years you were registered as self employed.
2. For which years you have submitted your SA
3. What have you used to submitted SA e.g invoices , contracts , bank statements
4. What was the nature of your business
5. Are you happy with your accounts
6. Are you happy with the SA
7. How were you employed as sole trader or Ltd Company.

Never heard of it. Is it included in the application form or they give any separate form?

Couple of people on this forum has mentioned about this form which they received in Solihull PEO when they went for their ILR. Never heard of it for any other PEO.

Perhaps HO is expanding verification of tax evasion, not limiting it to just the years where income self-employment may have been used for extension of leave but for the entire "qualification" period??
Getting such information in writing and if signed by applicant enables HO to use it in court later, if need be!

Tax evasion is a crime in most countries... so not unusual that the HO/HMRC in sharing information as Government departments would be tightening up on those who attempt to cheat the system.

But still they will have to follow the T1G guidance while reaching at any decision relates to tax & income and from my understanding T1G doesn’t required applicant to show same level of threshold every year.

It will helps future applicants to know what information is needed to fill these additional forms and what PEOs are currently following this procedure.

I am not sure they are doing it to everyone.
We are suppose to show HO our last 12 months income not all five years so we are fine.

The above mentioned thing is true.
It happened to me In Solihull. I applied as Ltd company director.
My friend had that experience as well. He was called to interview because of wrongly filling in the questionary sheet.
He ticked the years he did self assessment , although he shouldn't have done so I believe, because he was limited company director and it asks to tick the years if you worked as self employed.
I didn't tick any years and wasn't called for the interview.
If your tax affairs are in order, then no need to worry

We both got ILR, if you are Ltd company director, be sure that SA will be checked. I wasn't called for interview, but when I got my SA copies back they were untidy, so it must have been checked. HO will check SA, because there's no other way to verify past dividend withdrawals.

True, but judges interpret the law and the government can change the law.
And in any case, the "good character" requirement for naturalisation is broad enough to catch any bad apples that slip through the net at ILR/PR stage.
