Attestation Of Marriage certificate & Child Birth Certificat

Hi,

I want to get my marriage certificate and Child Birth Certificate attested from Indian Embassy.

Can anyone pl advise
1) the steps for getting the same done in VFS London.
2) What all document would they need for attesting the certificate &
3) how much time would they take for completing the process.

You want to get it done doesn't mean that HCI will do it. It seems HCI only counter-attests documents that have been attested by MEA. Read Attestation Of Documents (Birth/death/marriage/educational Certificates Etc.)
VFS does nothing except accept applications. All the consular work is done by HCI.
Within a week, if the application is complete in all respects.

Hi All

Wanted to update the process of getting document attested

HCI attest document which are pre attested by Ministry of external affairs
Ministry of external affairs attest document which are pre attested by respective state government and it further involves local notary process.

MEA has approved 3 agencies in India who can get documents attested. Document copies need to be send to them and they charge fees for the complete process.

Hope this help to anyone who want to get the document attested.
