I sent email 17 dec 15 than they reply"
Your application is at an advanced staged and will be submitted to the minister for decision as expeditiously as possible."

Please if any one know about this email reply me .what does this mean and how long take.
The letter is self-explanatory and what it says is that your application is nearing finality and your approval is in the offing.
What do you think i get within one week or more time?

Possibly you'll get your approval in the next batches of approvals to be released by the INIS anytime soon and could be in days or couple of weeks (2 weeks or more). Looks good for you.

Rang today regarding about my application status and told me that "Your application is currently at an advanced stage of processing. You should be hearing back from this office within the next 2-3 weeks".

I asked for the next ceremony too and said that there will be no ceremony in January and February. Hopefully there will be a big ceremony in March 2016, where everyone will get their citizenship.

Thanks for info zsk_747!

Its a bummer about no ceremony in February but it was kind of expected. Let's hope it will be in early to mid-March.

On a positive note though, looks like the new wave of approvals is in the pipeline. Probably already back from the minister - in reply to my email late December they said Advanced stage but didn't say "will be send to minister asap", hence I presume it already went out. Now they given you a pretty concrete timeline hence I presume its back from the minister. Let's hope for the positive news within the next 2 weeks, will hopefully be even quicker as if I was them, I'd over-estimate timeline to prevent people from calling constantly.

@cracovia445, I'm not KingdomMan, but Garda report can take from few weeks to 2-3 months provided no complications there. If you're lucky, you might still get your approval in time for March ceremony as I'd imagine there might be another submission to the minister before then.

At second stage will take 2 to 3 months, if there is no complexity or offence. As per my experience, If your second stage will pass through till first week of February then hopefully you will get your approval for March 2016.
For better answer above your query, can get from KingdomMan.

Hi all,
I applied for my citizenship on 2nd August

2nd stage letter received in September

Expecting approval...

However I applied for EU FAM extension in 1st week of Dec and yet to get a response, but my stamp expires today. How great is the impact on my citizenship application.

Thanks

Just like ddarrt and zsk_747 have rightly responded, it could take 1, 2 or 3 months barring any complexity.

Hope you will get your approval but keep in mind, always stay with visa because sometime they ask for a copy of renewal visa before they will send an approval. Once you will get your renewal visa, straight away send a copy of your visa without any delaying to the citizenship. It will help to process your application fast.

Please, Danny800, It seems your application took nearly 6 months, may I ask if you had any offence which may have delayed your application. Would you mind sharing? Thanks
Daddy.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the delay, my application timeline is similar to Danny, and I have few other friends with a very similar application timeline waiting for approvals (I didn't get mine either yet). Seems like we just missed the previous approvals wave in October and then it was a long delay on INIS side due to December ceremony and Christmas break.
I think its just also a matter of luck fitting in the schedule.

Hi Daddy,
He applied mid August about a month after I applied.
He actually mailed them yesterday to ask about his application and was told there is a correspondence in the post about his application.
We thought it was for an updated GNIB cos he only renewed last week but it was his approval.

@daddy
About having any offence.

Traffic offence 2008 (Missed the amber light) before I got my stay and I paid. I lost my receipt and stated it.
Another Traffic offence this last November (No NCT). Paid but I did not inform them as I have already applied and guessed they might have carried out clearance checks.
Just giving this information to assure people that even if you have any offence, if you pay the fine you will be fine.
My friend does not have any offence though..

Application date - 08/10/15
1st Acknowledgement of received application - 15/10/15
2nd Acknowledgement - pending

Not sure why it is taking so long to get the second stage letter... I have no convictions etc..

Who should I contact to ask for an update?

Concerned about the hold up.

Thanks in advance
