I'm just wondering if anyone's applied with expired passport
We had home visit last September the HO took my passport away ( it wasn't expired when they took it away )
So I haven't sent my passport with the application
Is it strong ground to reject the application ?
Thanks a lot
I dont think it may be a problem but how come you have your passport ? Didnt you send it wjth your application?

Also what happened during the visit? Cant see why they took your passport without your consent ?

I haven't sent my passport Cuz they had it already !
And I couldn't make new one Cuz I needed the old one in my consulate

The home visit was okay ! They asked us few questions
They come early morning(6 am ) during 70 days investigation after we gave a notice of marriage to the regestry office before we got married as I was an overstayed,
Also to make sure that's not a shame marriage

They were quiet happy

What do you mean by they had it already ? Did you make an application before that got refused ?

This visa is issued as a Biometric Card so they dont need to stamp your passport!

Guys need your knowledge! I missed a DX delivery last Thursday 7th Jan (as I work) and rearrange the delivery for tomorrow. Is it RC Card or documents returned?

Anxious...!!! Does DX only deliver RC card? Or they also deliver documents returned?

In the letter, they say DX is to ensure your UKBA-BRP package is delivered to you securely. So this is certainly related to my RC application (4th August) result. But what the result would that be? .....

Hi everyone :D

I applied for the EEA2 RC (unmarried partner): 07 July 2015
COA : 13 July 2015
Biometrics: 21 July 2015
RC Issue date: 07 January 2016 (six months exactly)
RC Received: 11 January 2016

The old thread was certainly useful for me during those long waiting days.
Moderators, could you add the link to this thread on the "EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate". That way, EEA2 applicants viewing the old timeline can be redirected here. It was quite hard to find the most updated EAA2 thread to share my timeline with other members.

For those of you still waiting, keep POSITIVE and have FAITH, your RC's may be just around the corner.

Thanks Alex,

I applied without a solicitor.
My partner and I have been in a relationship for 3.5 years.
We lived together for 2 years before the date of application.
I was on a tier 2 visa before, but the company I was working for went bankrupt 2 months after I filled my EEA2 application - so I lost my UK visa sponsor during the application process.
My partner is exercising treaty rights as a project manager for a multinational based in the UK.
We had no home visit, no interview nor questionnaire during the waiting period.

ali6278 wrote:Hello guys,

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been monitoring for some time now, I tried to join before but there was an issue, and today I tried and it worked.

I am in an unusual situation and not sure what to do.

Last year, I made an EEA EFM application as the unmarried partner of an EEA national (I submitted a certified copy of my wife's ID then, she only had her ID card then and she needed it for travel and to look for work ... ). at some point during the processing time I got married, the HO approved it without investigation. 2 days before my marriage I received the questionnaire, which I completed after my marriage and returned along with some supporting documents, a week or two after, I received an invitation to an interview in Liverpool, my wife and I attended the interview, and it went ok. By the way, I asked the interviewer to keep my wife's original ID but he refused and said just keep it with you, we'll only lose it (he kept other documents but not the ID).
A week later I received the refusal on the grounds that I didn't submit my wife's original ID.
My solicitor suggested it was a mistake since I offered it to the HO during the interview and they refused to keep it, and since it wasn't a big deal he said let's send it to them along with a letter explaining the situation and see if they review their decision.
We sent the original ID to the person who signed the refusal, but he never replied. one month later we sent him a reminder and asked for a response positive or negative, it didn't matter because i decided to make a new application. he never replied to date (it's been 3 months now).
A few days ago I made the new application, EEA FM this time, with all the documents except the original ID that was already with the home office.
2 weeks later I received the biometrics letter and a Short CoA because my wife's original ID was missing !!!
Despite making it very clear and explaining in the cover letter and on the application form that the original IDs are already with the home office , with X person at this address, and attached the letter that was sent with them.
Has anybody gone through a similar situation ? I'd like to know how it was dealt with, if not I'd appreciate your advice.

Thank you
Hi guys, I thought I'd post this again in case no one saw it, it was at the very bottom of page 1 .

Any suggestions ? anyone got a CoA without right to work and managed to correct it ?

I appreciate your help

Hello All,

I have applied for EEA(FM) Residence card (10/12/2015). Till now there is no update from Home Office.
I applied for jobs and I got my Interview successful. Now I am wondering how to tell my employer that I am eligible for work. as right now my passport and all documents are with home office. I did not get any acknowledgement from home office. and I don't have updated information. in that case please guide me what to do next so I don't loose my job and they can wait for my COA letter.

1- My previous status is EEA Dependent (got stamp on the spot) is my previous status eligible me my work status for my employer.
2- is that any guidelines EEA/EU or HOME Office documents that can support my work status that I am eligible to work according to EU/EEA rules. (if yes please send me the links).

3- any thing positive and supportive information for my future employer will be more appreciable (so he can by law allow me work)

many thanks in advance

regards

Just answer my own question posted in this thread yesterday.

Yes, yes ,missed DX delivery is my RC, RC! (Applied 4th Aug 2015, issued 3rd Jan 2016, detail see http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... l#p1291117)
1.DX only delivers RC Card with a paper. No documents return.
2. RC card now is faster than documents.
3.DX is really the worst carrier I've ever experienced. They only deliver 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday. So you are destined to miss it if you work. Re-arrange delivery. If you want to book a morning or afternoon session, they charge you more than 6 pounds! Not to waste one day, I paid. But they were late!!!! And once they are late, they say you are not there.... I don't know what to say. And you know what? Every call you made is charged and expensive..... because you can't get hold of a real person to talk to you without going through numerous machine questions.... easily several pounds go...
Worst experience ever, but whatever, it's finally over.

No matter what, I get RC Card.
No forget to mention that this forum helps me a lot along the way. Many thanks!

Hi chriskv1,

Thank you very much.

We moved to the UK at the end of June 2015 from another EU country and I applied RC in early August. I'm married to an EU citizen and was 11 months married when I submitted the application. My husband is EU QP with employer and I just submitted standard documents that requested by HO. My timeline is below. Hope this would help.

Thank you Alex!

Sure. My case is relatively simple.
Married for more than 2 yrs. (Before that lived together over another 2 years, which also registered with French government. )
We moved to London since June 2015, when My husband, EEA national, started a new job here.
Applied in June, but they (HO) returned documents in a month, saying that I missed one signature... @x!#%$%... which I did not. Back then was angry, frustrated, and overwhelmed... It is when I came across this forum.
Re-applied 4th August. This time went relatively smoothly. No questionnaire; no interview ... RC arrived almost exact 5 months of waiting.

Wish you and all the guys waiting get your RC on time!

This is why moderators are reluctant to allow long-running threads. They inevitably have members constantly ignoring the subject and posting willy-nilly. Moderators aren't paid by the Board Administrators and it takes considerable time to monitor and move posts to other threads, often in the middle of a busy working day or during family time. It's quicker to simply delete the posts which shouldn't be here and let the members re-post in the correct forum. :|

Well I do understand that you are not getting paid but once again I think that's what moderators are for (No Offense) : and monitoring the content of a Long running thread is not that hard if you keep yourself updated .
Perhaps it's high time you guys invite new people to step in and help I know a few people here who wouldn't mind giving a hand .

You get on with it then. Believe it or not, the EEA threads aren't the only ones on the forum that need monitoring. As they say on Dragon's Den 'I'm out' with this one. I believe you'll find the rest of the moderating team will be too. :|
