CoS End Date after Sponsor license expires

Post by IgorSHCH » Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:38 am

Hi,

I'm extending Tier 2 General with the same employer.

Our sponsor license expires in Nov, 2016, and we intend to renew it, although according to UKBA we can only extend it in Aug.

My visa expires in March, and we are starting the renewal process right now. My question is can we still issue the CoS for 3 years, i.e. till Mar 2019, or the CoS end date is restricted by licence expire date.

Would really appreciate a link to UKBA document describing this

Regards,
Igor

If my memory serves right (based on what I read on the immi forum), your employer can assign CoS for 3 years even though their sponsorship license is up for renewal. These two are not linked with each other.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.
