COS Salary issue

Post by chetanya77 » Wed Jan 13, 2016 12:07 pm

My company has got a CoS GRANTED for me with these details for 3 years (Feb 2016 to Jan 2019)

My Salary current is £30,500

They have agreed to raise it in below mentioned way -
Basic Salary = £32,500
Guaranteed Bonus = £2,500 at the end of 1 year from date of re-joining (somewhere from Mar 2016 to Mar 2017)

My New Salary with Guaranteed Bonus = £35,000 (not for all 3 years, but until I receive my first bonus)

Would this suffice SALARY REQUIREMENTS when I apply for TIER 2 VISA with new offer letter stating above details?

What shall I ask them to raise my salary upto?
Shall I ask them to prepare a contract stating my Basic as £35,000 and no guaranteed bonuses?
Or The proposed Salary hike will work, when I apply for Tier 2 Visa with This GRANTED COS?

You might want to mention relevant details (SOC code, etc.) here instead of sharing files. Users may not feel comfortable clicking on things which may potentially contain viruses.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Thanks.
My SOC code is 2136.
Gross Salary mentioned in COS : 35000
They didn't mention anything in the Summary of allowances and bonuses column.

As long as it's guaranteed it should be OK to apply with those details.

You need a minimum 'experienced' salary of £31,100 (for 39 hours per week basis), or pro-rated for your working hours.

The only thing you might want to keep in mind in case your target is ILR is to ensure your salary reaches the following limit when you apply for it (depending on the eligibility year):

-- a gross annual salary of at least:
(1) £35,000 if applying on or after 6 April 2016,
(2)) £35,500 if applying on or after 6 April 2018,
(3) £35,800 if applying on or after 6 April 2019,
(4) £36,200 if applying on or after 6 April 2020

Hope that helps.
