Applying for EC from other country?

Can you apply for EC from country other than the coutry of your citizenship?
e.g. I was in India when I applied for HSMP and if i am in Singapore on wp while applying for EC, is it ok?

any negatives of doing so.

Hi Anny,

I would say that it is possible, as long as you are not staying in Singapore for short-term visit.

I am an Indonesian national, working in Malaysia on work permit, and have gotten the EC from VFS Malaysia. However, when I applied HSMP, I sent from Malaysia as well. Could any other senior members share their experience on this please....

I also thought it should possible when you are on work permit.
