Thanks KingdomMan and all the guys for the help.
It takes an average of 3 - 6 months to get an approval barring any complexity with an application. With your application timeline, I'll personally estimate you expect an approval between this time (now) and the next 2 months ahead.berytus wrote:Thanks @Cork121 - hopefully we'll hear back soonCork121 wrote:Hi Berytus, berytus wrote:Hello everyone

KingdomMan, any idea?
Thanks KingdomMan..............hope i will get my approval this month. As i am expecting.....KingdomMan wrote:@zsk_747
You're in my thoughts and expecting some good news from you re your application for naturalization.
Over 3 months not a big deal and my application was at second stage till 4 months and now i am at advance stage. Waiting over 3 months for a second stage is that citizenship department waiting for your reports from different agencies and sometime gets delay to receive reports from agencies. I will say to you be humble, you will get good news very soon.dublinNorth29 wrote:Hi all,
Is it normal to be waiting over 3 months for a stage 2 letter or does it mean there is an issue with my application?
Thanks
N
Experience shows that most applications made through solicitors are delayed longer than necessary for reasons best known to the INIS. However, if there are any issues with such application, the depertment would still contact you to let you know. In the meantime, quoting your full details and application reference number, you may as well send your enquiry to INIS on update of status of your application at: citizenshipinfo@justice.ie and you should get an almost immediate reply stating the current stage your application is. Keep us informed here on any new development please.dublin1924 wrote:Hello Guys,
My timeline is as follows:- Basis of EU4 FAM 5 Yrs residency in the state.
First Stage Letter: Last Week Of May 2015.
Second Stage Letter: Third Week Of July 2015.
Approval: Pending
Recently sent up to date GNIB card on the basis of retention of rights and received the acknowledgment
few days ago that they received.
Any idea that its nearly 8 Months now as no offence nothing but why is this delay,
Any 1 else having a similar timeline as mine?
My application is through Solicitor, Is this the reason for delay.
Kingdom Man Sir, A quick question:-
If they have any problem in my approval will they ask me for it or they will not reply me and a big
silence. Will they tell the reason why its getting delayed etc or they are not approving?
Thanks

Firstly, did your wife get a letter with application fee receipt attached to it before the second stage letter? Even as she didn't applied on the basis of Irish spouse, did she put all the details of her Irish spouse and child in her application? All being said and barring any complexity, she may likely get an approval between april and July hopefully.great_Ireland wrote:Dear all
My wife applied based on 5 years residency. She was a housewife (never employed) throughout her stay in Ireland. She has an Irish son & an Irish husband (naturalised). But she did NOT apply as a spouse of Irish, she applied based on her 5 years residency. Her timeline is as follows:
16th December 2015: Application (received by INIS on 18th Dec)
11th January 2016: 2nd stage letter (she never received a 1st acknowledgement letter)
Approval: pending
I was just astonished to see how rapidly her application progressed. Is that a good sign that she might get approval soon? KingdomMan you are the most experienced in this forum and your opinion is highly appreciated. Thank you
Ok. That letter you have with the attached receipt is actually an acknowledgement letter and you should very soon be in receipt of the second stage letter if everything goes well with the application. I wish you and spouse good luck in the entire process.great_Ireland wrote:Thanks for your reply KingdomMan
Yes she mentioned that her husband and son are Irish in her application form.
Also she got the receipt of application fees (€175) attached to the 2nd stage letter.
