I am going for Naturalisation in couple of weeks, I need few clarrifications with regarding the application form
i.e AN Ver Jan 2016 form , Following are my below Queries?

1.Sec 1.22 : I have got my ILR in Dec 2014 and I have proved my English language providing proof as PBS Calculator Print out and Degree certificate , My question is for naturalisation application which Option do I need to Tick to prove Knowledge of language ? What document do I need to Provide ?

2.I am a contractor and I am a Director of my Own Limited company , working for XXXX company as a contractor , my question is Section 1.46 : - Which option do I need to check i.e An Employee or A director or Both check box Should I tick ?

3.Sec 1.47 and Sec 1.48 should I give my Limited company Name and Address or Employer (Client Name )?

4. Sec 1.50 : Employment History for last 10 years? I am on Workpermit and i came to UK on deputation before I got my Tier 1 Visa ? My question is should I need to specify employment history when I was on workpermit or I can specify only those Employment details when I first landed on Tier1 Visa from 2010 on wards ?

5. I am a contractor from my own limited company , I am not paying income tax through PAYE ? Do I need to submit any Document ?

6. As a contractor do I need to submit any current contract documents ?

7. Supporting documents section 3 : - Evidence of Lawful residence for 5 years ? Can I Provide my Indian Passport showing 5 years lawful residence where passport page contains entry and exit IN and OUT Stamps from UK ?

Kindly help me out in this regard it would be much appreciated ?

7. Supporting documents section 3 : - Evidence of Lawful residence for 5 years ? Can I Provide my Indian Passport showing 5 years lawful residence where passport page contains entry and exit IN and OUT Stamps from UK ? BRP says you have ILR

Also please refer guidance notes and be ready to give you BRP within 5 days of attending ceremony.

If you do not pay income tax through PAYE you must demonstrate that you have discharged your obligations towards the H.M. Revenue & Customs, by attaching a Self Assessment Statement of Account. Page 8 of guidance note. I reiterate please read guidance and booklet thoroughly instead of fully reliant on people here

4) Question is related to verifying an applicant's good character (legal employment; full & correct payment of taxes & etc) so all employment-related history is required for 10 years (in UK).

7) A BRP is not evidence of lawful residence (with any absences within prescribed limits) for 5 years.

Thanks Noajthan, I was wondering do I need to give any current contract documents, anyways naturalisation is not based on your employment .(Q6). If I give last year 2014 - 2015 Self assessment tax document is it fine because from April 2014 - April 2015 i was a permanent employee then later I am working as contractor. I have indian passport with all In and Out stamping from UK.

No need for work contract, as you observed, naturalisation is not based on economic activity.

Thanks noajthan, I don't know why they are asking for employment history will they verify last 10 years employment how much you were earning ? It doesn't not make sense is it if this application is not for economic activity.

It's not about earnings as such. It's more about assessing 'good character'.

To this end HO will probe & crosscheck an applicant's compliance with various UK laws & also their immigration status (eg compliance with immigration regulations) that were applicable (to them) at the time.

Employment history is just one element or datasource that is used in this Kafkaesque process.

To prove you met all immigration rules while your immigration status on the category you obtained extensions and further ILR.

The checks will be with HMRC ( tax),HMRC (NIC &ECO) and DWP ,all other govt bodies to check using DPA / compliance and share data about you.

e.g like USA Naturalisation , FBI gets involved.

Its simple ! not rockscience and also you met good character through out your time in the UK.
