FLR - Processing time

Post by goodnews » Sun Nov 25, 2007 2:07 am

Dear All,

Any idea what is the current processing time for HSMP FLR. I have submitted my application on 29th Oct-07.
Payment cleared 31-Oct-07
Received Reference letter on 01-Nov-07.
After that, there is no news. Today is end of the 4th Week.

My status is that of 1+3 ending on 03-Dec-07.
If this renewal happens that should take me to 4th year GOD willingly.

Please, can someone update this post, those who have submitted closer to the end of Oct-07.

Many Thanks
Regards

Hello,

Did you receive a reference number?
It mentions the time your application processing may take. Mine asked me to call the HO if it took longer than 28 days. Since yours has taken 4 weeks already, have you tried contacted the HO?

Cheers.

I did receive the reference number. Which digit mentions the processing time.. there is almost 9 to 10 digits after LT.

I called them, they confirmed that they lost some paper of mine, hence asked me to send them again.

I have send it again with Urgent Treatment form this time.

Regards

Here is a precedent.
Original approval of 1 year was expiring on 13 Nov. 2007.
Applied for FLR on 12 Nov.2007.
Urgent treatment request faxed on 26 Nov. 2007.
Documents received with 4 year extension on 30 Nov.2007.

If you have received the initial approval last November, it should have been given for 2 years. How come they issued you only 1 year.

Please let me know

Hello Goodnews,

You said you got the extension for 2 years and it has been issued till 2010. Originally can you tell me the expiry date. Was it is 2008??? Did you apply much earlier than the expiry date. If so did you tell them any reason why you are applying early.....please let me know.....according home office they generally recommend to apply within 5weeks prior to date of expiry, but I know that it is merely a recommendation.....

Kindly let me know if there is a reason that you mentioned for applying much earlier than the date of expiry....

Congrats first of all...

1. Why they have given you only 2 years why not 3 years. Isn't not a better thing in case if they change again the ILR qualifying period. Already the rumour going around 7yrs for ILR etc...

2. Did you apply under salaried employment or self employment?

3. Should we provide earning template for extension applications as well?

Thanks,

Regards,

Baskaran

Guru,

No idea, what is LT stands for. possibly Leave To Remain..
No need to email now, as I got my pport back.

KCK9
Apologize, I think it is 3 year. Dec 2007 onwards to Dec 2010.

No, I did not apply earlier except 5 weeks before the expiry date (Dec-07) as per the guidelines mentioned.

Baskey
Correct,, it is 3 years, however I can apply for ILR after Dec-08 as I will be finishing my 5 yr term by then.

I applied under salaried as well as under self-employment. Bcox I do get salary from my own ltd company as well as that
is considered also as self-employment, bcox I had to show few other docs for my self-employment.
I know it sounds bit confusing, but I filled in self-employment sections too bcox I had the infor for that section.

I was aware of that earning template, which is released recently. Trust me, that does not make any sense, it is really
confusing template.. I think the template is done in a hurry.
I did not bother to use the template. Just mentioned my 12 mnth earning period in last 15 months duration and made sure that
I do not confuse the case worker, I put yellow pad note on my bank statement mentioning the from and to period for
earnings.

For all FLR applications, after the payment processing, you will get a reference number starting with LT and 10 number after that. I think it is just a reference number for them to identify under which category the application made for and I think LT stands for Leave To Remain, i may be wrong............

goodnews, thnx for your reply anyway.......good luck
