I arrived yesterday via LGW from across the pond for a couple of days away.
The new colours of the current BIA is so boring and 'brutish' if I may say it mildly. I guess the old yellow colouring was perfect but this new colour was just a mockery to be the face of Britain for new arrivals. I do not know if it is an attempt to tell visitors they are not welcome to the UK
. I suggest to Liam to change this boring colours NB: Please note I have not gone through immigration for almost 16 months so, I had not noticed. I thought, I could just have stayed with Uncle Sam (Nice thought!) and never had come back to the UK (Like Jeff has done. God bless him in Aussie Land).
The queues where horribly long and I cursed myself for not registering for IRIS on my way out. My advise to all non UK and EU nationals is to try and register for IRIS if you qualify and avoid all the queues.
As a plus, BIA has a plasma screen showing video footage of removals of Illegal Immigrants and asylum seekers and stats about being tough! They could have done a good paint job in addition.
As I said, it might just be me moaning after enjoying the Interstates of the East Coast and very big indeed Big Mac! Have a nice day all
