Thanks To Allah .i got my Approval today.(27/01/2016.0happy days.i wish all of you will get soon. see you guys in ceremony .Thanks Evey one for support with kind advises .
My timeline is as follows, applying on the basis of a 5 year residency:.

Application sent: September 30, 2015
Application Received: October 2, 2015
Acknowledgment Letter Received: October 12, 2015
Second Stage Letter Sent: November 3, 2015
Second Stage Letter Received: November 13, 2015
Approval: Pending

Any idea where my application stands and how much longer I'll be waiting?

Hi cork 121 congrats for your approval and hope everyone will get approval soon. Just your experience can you tell how long does it take for me . My timeline as follow..

I have been told today on phone that there will be a small ceremony in Waterford on 4th March 2016. I will be invited in this coming ceremony over coming weeks by post. Hope everyone will get the chance in this coming ceremony.

@Cork21 Congrats on your approval. I see that you're quoting my timeline above, is yours the exact same timeline?

Also, where do you live? I live in Dublin City Center and it usually takes around 10 days for me to receive any mail sent from the department of Justice.

Your application is currently being processed with a view to establishing
whether it meets the statutory conditions for the granting of
naturalisation, such as good character and lawful residence, and will be
submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible.

It is recognised that all applicants for citizenship would wish to have a
decision on their application without delay.

As well as being a significant event in the life of the recipient, the
granting of Irish citizenship through naturalisation as provided for in law
is also a major step for the State which confers certain rights and
entitlements not only within the State but also at European Union level and
it is important that appropriate procedures are in place to preserve the
integrity of the process.

This letter/email indicates that the application is still at Second stage (Garda vetting and other dept checks). In my candid opinion, barring any complexity, you may still have to wait for the next 2 - 4 months for an approval. Just my personal opinion and who knows,your wait could be earlier than thought.
