British Citizenship for Minor

Post by shaily77 » Fri Jan 29, 2016 12:23 pm

My daughter born on August, 2012 in INDIA Entered in UK November 2012.
I am trying to avoid unnecessary VISA route (ILR) and time/money for my daughter.
Could you please help me to check below VISA status for parent for her British citizenship.

Current situation
Husband ILR Dec'14
wife Tier 1 (General) Dependant expiring on April 2017
Daughter Tier 1 (General) Dependant expiring on April 2017

Check situation 2
Husband British citizenship/naturalisation
wife ILR (Same day)
Daughter Tier 1 (General) Dependant expiring on April 2017
Is it possible for my daughter to apply directly for British citizenship/naturalisation with my VISA ?
I can produce certificate from her nursery.

If not with my application, can I apply after getting the BC?

Does ILR must for her?

I have gone through the post

Now confused whether it depends on age or immigration rules?

They expect child and parents to have ILR and at least one parent to naturalise.

Thanks Vinny for quick response.
Does it mean I should wait for my BC and then apply directly for daughter's BC (with increased fee after Apr'16 :( )?

The child needs ILR as she was born abroad.

There have been many refusals for children because parents thought they could save some money by not getting ILR for the children.

Have you clicked on the link that Vinny provided (clue is the blue underlined word 'expect').
