EU1, SELF EMPLOYED, CALL FROM INIS before 5 year response

Does anyone knows how inis contact self employed eu national, because for someone working under an employer they call employer, but in case of self employed do they really call and say anything about work???

If they connot reach the employer than they check through PPS number, if the PPS number is still registered with the same company and they are getting paid every week than that means that the EU citizen is still employed with that company BUT as in the case of self employed they cannot check if the EU citizen i sstill still working than in this case they need some confirmation and they will confirm through the number and email provided in the form EU1.

What are your thoughts about uk employer having office in Ireland. There is a dual country tax treaty. The PPS no of the employee is related to NI hence would inis be able to confirm that way?

As a matter of practise INIS will make decision on a Self employed , self sufficient person , Student or former worker.

Hello obie, do you mean before the decision date if they are satisfied with the documents of slef employed person e.g companny registered, bank accounts , sale invoices, ??
Please share any story you know about any other self employed person if he would have been contacted or decisions had been made on the basis of documents?
