EC procedure for HSMP if the current visa is dependant

Hi All,

I'm currently on a dependant work permit ( an Indian National) and i've recently got approval HSMP, can anyone guide me on how should go forward with my Entry clearance application. Can i apply for EC using FLR HSMP form by residing in UK or do i need to go back to india to get my EC done.

Can anyone please respond to this as soon as possible?

Hi Lotus,

I was on or should I say still on a student dependent visa. I applied for HSMP while I was in UK but had to come back to India to get the EC. If you are on a dependent visa, you would have to return to India to get the EC done. Unfortunately, it's a time consuming task and with the new biometric nonsense they are putting in, it is sure to be delayed more. I'd come prepared expecting to wait at least 3-4 weeks.
