Hi Guys,

I submitted my Application 23rd Of October 2015, I am living in Ireland since Oct 2008 stamp 4 visa. And applied stamp 4 eu fam nov 2013.

I Got letter back stating they recieved my application with a receipt of 175 euros after a week lodging my application.

I emailed them last Jan 25,2016 and this what it says on the email.

Your application is at an advanced stage & you will be informed of the
Ministers decision as expeditiously as possible.

Regards

What is the meaning of advance stage? I hope I wont wait too long now. So excited.
Looking to hearing from your response.

Hello all,

Yes, I read at the INIS website this morning that the next Citizenship Ceremonies will be in the Convention Centre Dublin on Friday 15 April 2016. However it is also on the programme of the 1848 Tricolour Celebration Waterford that there will be a Citizenship Ceremony in City Hall with Minister of Justice on Friday March 4th, 11.30am.

Maybe there will be 2 ceremonies? A very small in March and a bigger in April?

I have paid the 950 euro and sent my GNIB card on 14th January. No invitation got so far. Has anyone got it already?

I would like to buy a ticket for dad to come from Brazil. They are very expensive and I wish I can buy in advance. Does anybody know the email to contact Citizenship Division. I read here that some people contacted them and got answers. I would like to ask them about the dates so that I can buy the tickets.

Thank you very much and best of luck for all!

You can email them at citizenshipinfo@justice.ie.

Please share any update you might have with us, as that'd be very helpful.

Thanks!

The requirement is for members to have posted at least 30 times before they can use the PM feature.
(This does not include padding type posts made with the aim of boosting the posts count).

Hello just a little clarification regarding my citizenship application.
I am working part time. And my spouse is studying and collecting back to education allowance. I am my spouse dependent and my salary has been means tested. However i didnt put on my application that i was on welfare for the past three years(which clearly not, coz I never had anything under my name) Or should i say i was but only as a dependent. I was
always my spouse's dependent on Dole. Will that be a problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I just checked about the Ceremony in Waterford and according to this site it is still happening as part of this years 1848 Irish Flag Commemorations weekend of events from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th March in Waterford.
Ceremony will be in City Hall on Friday4th with Minister of Justice, Francis Fitzgerald.

Whether it will only be people from Waterford area or some of us from Dublin and other areas will be invited who knows?!!!

That's not the INIS website. To get accurate information, always revert to the INIS website for naturalization and immigration matters. Thanks.

You should have wrote you were in receipt of social welfare as a spouse dependent and your salary has been means tested to save yourself of all these worries. However, if the department handling your file find it necessary, they will in due course write to you for more clarification so I don't think it will be a problem. Keep positive.
