NCS Appointment

Hi

I am planning to apply for Citizenship and looking for NCS - Redbridge appointment, but its booked for the whole of February.

I have few questions:

1. Can i apply at other NCS Locations if i get an appointment? ( i live in Ilford)
2. Is there a way we can find out that applying to which NCS will make application processing faster ? or is it the same processing time for all NCS locations.
3. The prices for each NCS are different and some of them are above £80

2. There is no advantage between NCS locations in processing times.
3. Yes, the fee varies depending on the Council

You can get a sense of the timelines if you take a look through the monthly naturalisation timeline topics over the last 3 months. Based on those there does seem to be, but there's nothing officially published that explains the reason behind this or whether it will continue. The average processing times vary between around 3 weeks to 2 months. Do take a look through the timelines and topics above yourself to get a better sense.

Regardless of whether the JCAPS is faster or not, 99.9% of people applying for citizenship will end of applying for a British passport. Its definitely quicker to combine both than to apply separately.

Plus the benefit of not having to attend an interview for first time passport applicants as you normally would need to attend if applied separately.
