Hi lucia123,

In my opinion, what you submitted should be fine. Just send to the HO the 3 payslips once they become available (write a cover letter and briefly explain the situation, write on the letter the reference number HO assigned to your application).

Hi there, just an update on my application!!

I just returned home to find the postman at my doorstep. My passports and documents were returned with a letter saying my RC will arrive in 10 working days.
Now the twist is there was no letter in the package as regards my husband's permanent residence application although his passport was also returned.
I am happy but confused.

If a sponsor is self employed does HO check the contracts and invoices? My sponsors clients just were transferring him money for the services, no contracts, just invoices, business bank statements. How to proof the job is genuine?

The following HO guidance will help you understand how a caseworker will determine if a sponsor is self-employed:

HO took my payment 4 weeks ago on 7th of Jan, but I haven't received my biometric enrollment yet.
I'm panicking, as this is taking unusually long comparing to people's timeline here.
I called the EU help line yesterday but they told me it can take up to 2 months, and they don't have access to individual cases...

Is there any other way to contact the HO?
I live in a flat, so chances are the letter could have been accidentally thrown away by neighbours. (I hope not!)

Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Hi, did you receive the biometric letter? I am in the same situation , payment was taken on 5 of January and I still waiting for the letter. The help line doesn't help at all, every time that I call them I got always different information. "4 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 2 months!".

Hi Alex hope all is well with u,please can u clear my mind on this issue for me...thus my wife works as a carer with an agency as full time staff and can work 30-40 hours a week when they are in high season,as of now they are in low season and now works averagely 15hours per week......my issue is does it really matter how much my wife earns when it comes to EEA spouse excersing treaty right.u know am not working at the moment since i dont have the right to work and am fully depending on my wife since she is the eea wife and am the non eea husband.we rent and live in a master bedroom with ensuite in a shared house and we pay 370 pounds per month including all bills.i will appreciate ur view on this matter as soon as possible.thanks very much.

It is not necessary to have full-time employment in order to be a qualified person and qualify for a Registration Certificate. Part-time employment renders an EEA national a qualified person, as long as it is ‘genuine and effective’ employment and workers can even supplement their income with public funds.

If a person is unable to continue employment due to involuntary redundancy, they do not lose the right to reside if they had been working for at least a year before redundancy and register as unemployed. They can be unemployed for more than six months if they can show they are actively seeking work and have a genuine chance of being engaged. A person does not cease to be a worker owing to a temporary inability to work as a result of accident or illness.

So your previous payslips should proove that the employment is continuous and the reason why she is working part time is genuine !!

My question i ask early on is relating to my wife few working hours currently as a results of low season of their job.they do have high peak season during which she works 30-40 per week and as of the time we were submitting my application ,she was doing more hours which we added those payslips to my application...so that is the situation.

Hello guys,

Thank you in advance for any help that you can give me.

My wife applied for a RC the last month, the payment was taken the 5th of January and we are still waiting for the biometric enrollment letter. I've checked the timeline forum and our application is taking more time that it usually does. We also tried to get a status or some information about our application using the EU help line and they don't have access to any cases, the only gave to us this email eurobiometrics@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk but it looks like nobody replies the emails sent to that address.

Does anyone knows a way to get a status about our application?

Thanks.

Hey everyone!
Just a quick question for anyone who submitted their EEA(FM) form together with their partner's EEA(QP) application (in the same envelope): When the Home Office took your payment, did they take it together or separately?
We submitted our applications on the 22nd (Home Office received it on the 25th) of January and £65 were taken from our card a couple of days later. However, since then we have heard nothing and no further £65 have been deducted.
I know it's still early but from what we've seen it looks like the payments are usually taken together, so we started wondering about it...
All the best from Scotland!

Normally the payments need to be done at the same time !!
However I have seen that many members have experienced payment problems ... i do remember that in one case they took only one payment and sent the buometucs and COA with no problem and in another the HO sent back the application after oe month saying that they wouldnt proceed with the application because there was a problem with the applicant's bank ... the safest way is to send postal orders !!

Thank you so much for the help! We gave the same card details for both applications and are making sure we constantly have enough money on it, are keeping the card at home (we just don't want to risk it getting stolen or losing it) but have done online transactions since then (all without a problem).... so hopefully it is just that the HO is taking the second payment later. But yeah, I guess for anyone reading this who hasn't yet applied: postal orders seem to be a better idea.
