renunciation certificate problem

Dear all,
I went to indian Vfs centre for application for renunciation cetificate.They ask police report and duly notery affidavit for passport. Please note Home office never send my Indian passport back to me. They also never ever informed me it was lost or misplaced. When I applied for my Naturalisation and British passport application every time I informed home office. Last month I got my first British passport. How i can make a report to police in this regard? Where I can do duly notary affidavit here in london?

I have the exact same problem, I Have applied for british passport without indian passport as home office did not send the documents back after approval and I made many attempts.
It's pure torture from the home office side even after paying so much in fees, they send them second class or loose them.

Please could you tell me how long it took for your British passport application to be processed without orignal foriegn passport.

Also would appreciate advise on notary and police report for renunciation of indian nationality as this will be my next stage.

I done my process without having my Indian passport. Made notary public and submitted. In this case High commission will issue renunciation certificate not surrender certificate.
You can apply for OCI with renunciation certificate,
