Job declaration - FLR(M)

Post by shady87 » Wed Feb 10, 2016 4:00 pm

This is my first time applying for FLR(M).
I'm currently on T2G.
I'm applying in April.

My soon to be spouse (british) is currently working but will no longer be employed by end of February.

As for the Salary requirements I satisfy the condition (annual wage £30K).
Do I need to add her employment details (the job she's leaving at the end of February) when filling in Form?

Or I can just skip her details as I satisfy the requirement?

Regards

You can apply with your earnings alone.

FLR(M) Premium Appointment - who should attend

Post by shady87 » Tue Feb 23, 2016 11:30 am

Hi guys,

I'm transferring to spouse visa for the first time from T2G via Premium appointment and want to know if my spouse needs to be at the appointment also?

If spouse is not required at appointment, what spouse docs should I take with me?

Thanks

Your spouse is expected to attend with you. If they are unable to be there they should provide a letter explaining their absence.

Though from my experience last week I could have done just fine without my spouse being there. We only saw the case registration guy and never once saw or spoke to an actual caseworker which makes me believe it doesn't matter as long as you carry the passport and forms are signed.

I guess an issue if they need to interview which is rare unless you have a complex/confusing case.

Premium Appointment - T2G -> FLR(M) - When to pay/apply

Post by shady87 » Tue Mar 01, 2016 2:11 pm

Hi Guys,

My T2G visa is expiring on the 16th of April 2016.
I will like to have an appointment on the 11th of April 2016 (After I get married).

When is the latest I should pay the fees in order to get that date?
How is the availability like for the premium center applications (monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, daily)?

Right now there's over a month until that day so just want to find out when latest I should pay in order to be able to select that date.

Currently appointments seem to be available till the end of March. You will need to keep checking for availability in April.

If you only book after 18th March, you will have to pay the new increased fees.

So I'm guessing it means it's too early for my to pay for an April appointment then.
If I login to my application and pay now do I have to select an appointment date immediately? Or I can pay and then keep checking to select a date.

Tier 2 General to Spouse Visa - 2 or 5 year route

Post by shady87 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:20 pm

I'm currently on Tier 2 General and switching to a spouse Visa in April 2016. Am I eligible for a 2 year or 5 year route? First time extending since I got my Tier 2 General.

5 year route (2 X 2.5 year FLR(M) visas). There is no '2 year route' anymore.

So when I apply now will I be given 5years visa or 2.5 now and then apply for 2.5 again and then apply for ILR?

2.5 year visa.

Shortly before this expires, you apply for an extension for another 2.5 years and then ILR shortly before you reach 5 years on FLR(M).

Immigration health surcharge payable for each FLR(M) application.

Advice - FLR(M) application - New Job

Post by shady87 » Mon Mar 14, 2016 11:27 am

Hi Guys,

So I'm currently on T2G expiring 14th April 2016.
I plan to apply for Premium FLR(M) on the 11th of April 2016.

I've just been offered a new job - Start Date 18th April 2016.
Reason for applying obviously because I don't have to be tied to my current employer.

Before getting this offer I planned to apply using my current employer (to satisfy financial requirement).

Now that I've been offered a new job;

1 - Can I apply using this offer/contract for my application?
2 - Should I just stick with my current employer, apply via them and quit after approval since decision is given on the same day?

Any advice appreciated.

Does your spouse work?

It needs to be 'continuing employment'. My suggestion would be to stick with your current job until you have the FLR(M) visa in your hand.

Switching from T2G to FLR(M) First Time - Adive on questions

Post by shady87 » Wed Mar 30, 2016 6:18 am

Hi guys,

I'm switching to spouse Visa from T2G. I just got married to my spouse (sponsor) and we just moved in together.

I'm filling out the FLR(M) form and wanted some advice on the following questions;

6.8 Add all addresses you and your sponsor have lived at in the 2 years preceding this application of you have lived at your current address with your sponsor for less than 2 years.?

I just got married to my spouse and we just moved in together. Do I need to answer this question?

6.9 If relevant have you lived together permanently in the UK with your sponsor since your last grant of limited leave to remain as partner?

I've never had grant of limited leave to remain as a partner. Do I just ignore this question?
The options are;
Yes - Go to 6.16
No - please provide details

If I skip this question do I go to 6.10, 6.11 etc?

6.10 Why do you not currently live with your sponsor??

This doesn't apply to me because I now live with my sponsor right?

6.11 Have you ever lived with your sponsor within or outside of the UK??

We just started living together. Do I answer this saying yes and explaining we just started living together?

6.12 Could you and your sponsor live together outside the UK if necessary??

Ofcourse we could but our livelihoods (jobs) are in the UK, what is the best answer here? Say No and provide reasons why not or say Yes? Also what credible reasons can I give?

I'm most concerned about question 6.9 because based on my answer there I can skip 6.10, 6.11, 6.12, 6.13, 6.14, 6.15

I know it says if relevant in the question. As it's not relevant to me do I skip to 6.16

Any advice/help appreciated.
