Hi Everyone,

Need to apply for EEA2 for myself and one year old daughter. My EEA spouse is exercising her treaty of rights since last twenty days.
I need some suggestions on providing the supporting documents

1. Tenancy agreement: As we are staying with our relative I can provide a letter stating that we are staying with them since last two months.
2. Name on council tax: Recently our name has been added
3. Utility bills cannot be provided as our name is not mentioned on bills
4. Joint bank account will be provided
5. Appostiled Marriage certificate
6. Daughters birth certificate
7. Payslips of three weeks
8. Job contract letter

I would like to know will these documents be acceptable or shoould I provide any thing else apart from above mentioned supporting document.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the reply.
In the guidance notes. they have mentioned two situation viz.

at least the last 3 months before the date
of your application, or
the entire period if they have been a
qualified person for less than 3 months

Soit is bit confusing, or else is it possible to send them the three month slary slips on later date as of now providing a months salary slip.

What about other documents, will they be sufficient or not.

Hi everyone.. based on your experience and what you have seen on this forum, do you think that the CoA is issued 2-3 or 4 weeks after the biometrics are enrolled or 2-3 or 4 weeks after the application is sent to the Home Office? In other words the time the CoA is issued is based on the date of the application or the date of the biometrics enrolled? Thank you in advance.

My Timeline.

Application sent: 13th January
Received by HO: 14th January
Payment taken: 15th January
Biometrics received: 30th January (Dated: 28th January)
Biometrics enrolled: 2nd February
CoA : ?
BRC : ?

It takes between 2 and 5 weeks !!
There is no pattern to determine or predict when you will get it coz its pretty much random depending on the overload of applications and the mood of the HO caseworkers !!

Hi there,
I received my RC yesterday and am grateful that this nightmare is over for me as a Non-EU.
I do have a question regarding my husband's application. He had applied for a document certifying permanent residence but was issued with a registration certificate. My husband has lived in the UK for 11 years and has worked with the same company for 8 years. How do we begin to query this decision? Any feedback will be welcomed.

Hello guys,
can somebody help me with this question please?
I have received my COA letter yesterday. I was on tier 4 visa. as it was curtailed bcoz my studies finished one year earlier (as i didnt take placement year), so does this COA means I can work full time or is it still 20 hours?
I will be grateful.
Thank you

Hi,

New to the forum and trying to sort out a RC as the spouse of an EEA National. Applied early January and enrolled in Biometrics on 25/01/2016 but yet to receive a CoA. Checking the letter box daily. Also applied the jobseeker route (yes, I know, not ideal) but now my husband is employed and informed HO by sending a letter yesterday. Trying to get any information out of HO is like getting blood from a stone. Worst processes/communication ever.

I also have a job offer but worried it is going to fall through because of work checks. Very stressful!

It is good to read all the info/stories on here and can definitely relate to the stress caused by HO.

Cheers.

I would like to mention I am British National who was excercising my treaty rights in EU country and returned with my non- EU parents and applied for EEA2 application under surinder singh route.
My parents already have a 5 year residence permit for an EU country.
I have a question. we have urgent travel plans. Can we request our passports back without withdrawing application. Upon my return will my parents have any problem entering UK( we plan to carry their COA)
Is BRP a card or a Visa sticker on passport?
How long does it take after COA (if I do not request my parents passports back and let the whole process continue) for home office to return my passport.
Please help

Once you request the passports back with valid visas on them they should be fine ... applying for the eea2 does not cancel the previous visa they have, and requesting your documents back does not cancel your application as long as you dont tick the checkbox on the application form online !!

@alex1128
thank you for your reply. They do not currently have any valid visa for UK. The only valid thing is their COA.
I have read on blogs and timelines where members have mentioned that there passports have been returned by home office before BRP has been issued in some cases with in 2-3 weeks of receiving COA. Could someone clarify whether they mean just there EU/British passports of the sponsor/s or non-eea passports of applicants as well.

I am talking about the visa they had in the other EU country where you were living ;)
Did you apply for a family permit in order to bring them to the uk ? Or did they gain entry with a EU resident card ?

Hi guys.

Excited to tell you that I missed a DX delivery yesterday.I have rescheduled for Tuesday morning, so can´t confirm anything and will not be officially updating my timeline until then. As I am not expecting absolutely anything else, and I reached the 5 month mark this week, it is very likely good news. Posting in case you wanted to see more movement in the September batch.

From other posts I see that timelines vary slightly, a couple of weeks here and there, so I would not worry before hitting the 6-month mark.
