Follow this link and enter the details, and then see, when you enter the tax year and amount of tax you owe and see what figure comes out!

Its appalling that you dont even make the effort to find out how much penalty and interest is to be paid?
Hi Argus7,

Thanks for your reply. I have already checked the abovementioned link and I have stated that in my previous post. No matter which tax year you enter in the calculator nowhere is the £1600/year penalty, you mentioned included. My only concern is how have you come up with a figure of £1600/year in penalties ? Since you are a member of standing other forum members may take what you say seriously. I ask again, do you have any references/links to back what you are saying ?

Did you use the tax year in the Esitmation page on that web site with paying attention to detail? Its upto HMRC to charge you, Clearly after completion it shows u like an e.g I submitted

Key facts Your results
Your penalty for sending the return late £1,600
What you said your tax bill was £350
Interest added for paying your bill late £19.71
Penalty for paying your bill late £52.50
Estimate of the total you owe £2,022
Your penalty can be up to 100% of your tax bill if you deliberately don’t pay it.

These figures are estimates based on the figures you gave. The total is rounded down to the nearest pound.

Dear All I am intending to apply for my ILR next year but After reading the threads on immigration boards, I have requested for my SA 302, and i found that my all taxes are upto date just one tax is missing which was from my employer in 2010. I found that there is no such record of my employment in Inland Revenue of my employment, i worked with a ltd company as an employee but they did not file my return or registered me on Paye on Inland Revenue Register plus they have been liquidated in 2011. But i have my pay slips and it clearly states the tax deduction on them plus i have got p60 from them and the money came from there company account it shows/reflect in my bank statement from their company account, am so confused and scared what should i do please any help guys let me know? What I can do about it?

@go2zoo, what date you went to sheffield? Also did you amend your tax before going for PEO or after that?

on 13th Nov 2015. I did not amended. hmrc has corrected their records because I had submitted the tax returns in 2012 but hmrc has not captured the self employment data. I had sa302 as evidence that my accountant has submitted correct data through their software but for some reason it was not transmitted or caputred by hmrc systems so i submitted a claim which they had accepted and corrected their records. i have forwarded that to case worker as well lets see now

ILR-tax Issue updated

Post by saurabh23 » Fri Jul 29, 2016 12:33 pm

Hi,
I am new to this forum and quite worried to be honest.
Applied for my ILR, based on HSMP (2 + 3) on 29th April, 2016. Gave Bio Metric on 17th June, 2016. Visa expired on 1st May, 2016.

year 2010-11 tax declared on 24k to HMRC, actually income 48k to HO
year 2013-14 tax declared on 43k to HMRC actual income 37K to HO.
year 2015-16 ILR settlement, all income is in form of wages and NI already paid.

difference in Tax for 2010-11 updated with HMRC on 15th July, 2016.
I haven't heard anything from HO and just concerned about the outcome and any contingency plan.

Any Help or advice would be really great.

Regards
