Hello,
I'm on Tier2 General visa right now. I had applied for a 3 year tier 2 general for a different position earlier this month. Unfortunately i got a rejection as the employer did not provide RLMT info. and my contract was for 40 hours/week so it fell short by £700 when they calculated for 39 hours.
The refusal came on 25th Jan. The employer has now advertised the position on few websites and Job centre.
However, Job centre(universal Job match) took 3 days to process the advert and it came on the site on 28th January.
The tricky situation is that my current visa expires on 25th February. Calculating the minimum 28 days for RLMT it finishes on 24th february.
My only option is to get the SoC on the morning of 25th Feb and get the Priority Service appointment so i can send the passport on 25th feb.
Can i still apply on the 25th as technically i still have a valid visa on that day and the application and payment is done online.

you are fine to apply on the last day. If applying by post, as long as you send the post on 25th, you should be fine.
What you should make sure is, the employer has a allocated cos or not. They cant use the previous cos as that has been used now. they need to issue you a new cos, alongwith the details of rlmt.

@bhavesh.d.p hopefully your employer has agreed to raise your salary with at least £700. What is the minimum salary to apply for a Tier 2 extension? Thanks!

Thank you for your replies...
The employer is issuing me a new CoS on the morning of 25th feb.
For salary situation, they are going to amend the contract to 39 hours/week at £27000 which is the minimum salary for a new entrant,

I had applied for Tier 2 general on SOC 3433- Publicity Assistant in 2013
But this code has been taken out from the new list published last year. So I have to apply under SOC 1135 HR managers and directors.
The Minimum salary for new entrant is £27000.
RMLT wasn't done because I was exempt last time as i switched from PSW.
I am really stressed mentally and financially as I've already paid £951+ £600(Health Surcharge) for me and my wife (£3100) and have to pay this again when i reapply next month.
Just wanted some reassurance if i've covered all points for the next application.

the £600 +£600 for IHS should be refunded to you for the application that has been refused.

If thats the case i would have to apply on my previous SoC 3433.
But the code of practice conversion now shows 2472 Public relations professionals, experienced salary limit: 23K
NQF 6
Do I need to make any changes to my contract?
My salary is already at 24K.
I'm a publicity assistant right now... but in the new SoC the related job titles are a bit different. (Public relations officer)
I was wondering if it would be okay if I now apply on my original job category as I'm currently working on and write a covering letter mentioning that i was applying for a promotion in the same organisation but was unsuccessful as i did not get the visa for it so I'm now applying for an extension on the same category as before.

I want to ask the gurus if I've missed out on anything.
Also the fact that i recently applied on a different SoC and was unsuccessful. Will it affect my application?
