Were you in Spain for more than 90 days?michaelkon93 wrote:Hello everyone,
I'm a first time poster, so apologies in advance if I inadvertently break any forum etiquette. I have a question regarding Section 1.17 - 'Please provide your addresses for the past five years.'
Should I include my university addresses in Wales, where I study, which changed every year, or simply state the address of where my parents live in Essex and where I lived prior to going to university?
Also, last year I went on a European student exchange to Spain, should I include my address in Spain or, again, just state the address of my parents' house during that time?
I appreciate any advice!
Thanks,
Hi, well, I was there for 140 days altogether, however it was broken up into three parts, as I travelled back home once in November and once for the Christmas holidays. So this is how it was broken up:CR001 wrote:Were you in Spain for more than 90 days?michaelkon93 wrote:Hello everyone,

Your absence in the 12 months immediately prior to applying for citizenship exceeds the allowed limit of 90 days. You risk refusal if you exceed the absence limits. You would be better off waiting till your final 12 months absence is no more than 90 days.michaelkon93 wrote:Hi, well, I was there for 140 days altogether, however it was broken up into three parts, as I travelled back home once in November and once for the Christmas holidays. So this is how it was broken up:
25.08 - 11.11 = 77 days
13.11 - 21.12 = 37 days
07.01 - 03.02 = 26 days
Does the amount of time spent abroad affect the previous addresses section?
Thanks in advance!
It's all about your residence - so give your addresses where you lived in UK.michaelkon93 wrote:...

Require suggestion regarding few questions;
1.2 knowledge of language /life in the UK
What option do I choose :
My guess is : I met the knowledge of language and life requirment to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013
section 6.7 BRP enclosed if choosing as in my case then please state the location of biometric permit
My answer : with applicant
Is it ok? Or I need to mention in a different way.
ALSO 6.12 please give details why you are unable to provide it?
My answer : May required for travelling
Please advise. Thanks

By doing so you are on a fast-track for refusal and loss of fee - with no appeal.
English - try to recall how you fulfill proof of English requirements.
Answer question accordingly, whether by degree, with SELT or ??
You need to submit proff of settled status (ILR) or your application will fail.
If you wish to retain your BRP then apply via NCS.
Then answer BRP enclosed: Yes.
&
6.12 blank or N/A
ohara wrote:If you are applying through NCS, you do not need to send your BRP as they will send a photocopy. Do not tick the box to say the BRP is enclosed.
As you are aware, if your application is successful, you must return your BRP to the Home Office within 5 days of the ceremony or face a £1000 fine.
Even applying via NCS you do tick (check) box that BRP is enclosed.bharatsharma wrote:ohara wrote:If you are applying through NCS, you do not need to send your BRP as they will send a photocopy. Do not tick the box to say the BRP is enclosed.

Thanks but it slightly confusing now as noajthan said answer enclosed yes contrary to urs answer don't tick the box to say the BRP is enclosed.
Thanks. I will refill this page again then and tick the box that BRP is enclosed.noajthan wrote:Even applying via NCS you do tick (check) box that BRP is enclosed.bharatsharma wrote:ohara wrote:If you are applying through NCS, you do not need to send your BRP as they will send a photocopy. NCS enclose a certified copy - that is as good as enclosing BRP.
Basically turn up at NCS with all your evidence & docs; NCS will clarify & sort it out.
That is why they are useful & worth the nominal fee.
No.october2013 wrote:hi i will be 12 months on ILR in March and wanted to find out when its the earliest time to apply for AN. I am asking because i know with ILR you can apply 28 days before 10 years completion and just wanted to know if the same applies with the AN
Yes to both referees as long that have known you for 3 years.october2013 wrote:thank you for the response. Another question please.
Regarding the good character bit, i am slightly confused.
I have 2 friends i intend to use, one is a British passport holder BUT a housewife, the second is a non birtish passport holder but a Marine engineer.
Are they suitable please?
Date of Permanent Residence. You do have a PR card don't you?brazUKa wrote:Hi all
The time has finally come! Time to apply for my British citizenship.
I have filled the AN form but am not sure on point 1.3 - When indefinite leave to enter/remain in the UK was given.
Is this the issue date of the Permanent Residence? Or the issue date of the 5 year 'visa' prior to the PR?
I'm a non-European family member of a EEA national.
See http://lmgtfy.com/?q=UK+naturalisation+feeoctober2013 wrote:hi can you also help me with the link to the fee page section cos its not in the form. It also appears the fees has been increased to £1156?
Thank you for the reply. Yes I do have PR since the end of 2013.CR001 wrote:Date of Permanent Residence. You do have a PR card don't you?brazUKa wrote:Hi all
