Dear,all

My story started two years before, when My Father passed away,My parents was regularly visiting uk before,Then I decided to put Adult dependent Relative visa for my mother.but they refused visa,I went to court but they said that she can managed herself back home.I applied visitor visa for her but they also refused because previously she applied adult dependent,I didn't have any choice,Me and My brother was covering half of time back home to look after her.
Then I was fed up and decided to move another country,I wasn't think about SS that time,I applied schengen visa for her, luckily she got in 4 days, then she came to germany,I went to Foreign registration office, they told me to bring EU registration.I did in Local buro, then I again went immigration office,They took all document and give me one form called residence Card,I filled the form, they took it then after two hours, they called me and give me form back and one letter.Honestly I asked about letter, they didn't tell me but they told me,she don't have to come here. I went home, translate letter, was visa for six month, they approved my mothers application that time, but they put one condition,i have to find work and self employment within six month.then I opened bank account.
then I applied self employment, after one month I got my tax no and identification no.I started german course,Its very hard if you dont know language. so I learned four and half month German language. If you enrolled in govt. college, its very cheaper. I passed A2 level and got admission in B1.I enrolled local library and job centre.
Then 4 n half month,My brother finished his graduation,I decided to attend convocation, I asked all solicitor but all scared me,stay one year, but for My brother got achievement and we want there so we decided to come uk,I know if you come via ireland but still have same system,Common travel area, but I bought ticket and entered,On Boarder,They tried,I told them,I am exercising my rights in Germany,Show them Permit, insurance and same household registration . they gave me limited stamp, but I don't care, Because I know My rights,I feeling proud,I am EU citizen Now.

What supporting documents did you take along with you for EU registration?
For the non-EEA supporting documents, did you have them apostilled?
Did you have them translated and legalised in German?
How did you travel from Ireland to UK?

Hi Candy,

I have read all your posts. First of all must say you are an inspiration for all of us who really want to take care of the family. But I have following questions related to your story and I am sure will help other members who have same story.

1) Why did you choose Schengen Tourist Visa for your Mother when you could have used DIRECTIVE 2004/38/EC which would have been more easier, quicker and cheaper. Was there any particular reason for not doing this?

2) Whilst entering the UK via the Common Travel Area, were you confronted with some difficulties at the border. If so, didn't they ask you to go for Family Permit as you were trying to exercise Surinder Singh Route. Did you provide any official document related to Surinder Singh route?

3) Will your mother apply for EEA2 under the Surinder Singh route to further extend the limited stamp? If so then don't you think that there is a pre-requisite to have a EEA Family Permit for that?

Your response would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Dear,

Thanks for your post.I read your point but you didn't understand freedom of movement..
Freedom of movement only applies when you are in host country and that time,I was in uk and I was not using my rights.

I Came in CTA with my German documents and I tried to convenience using German permit,They asked me to provide all documents related freedom of movement and I showed them..

I applied EE2 Permit last month and done biometrics ad waiting for COA..

I hope,I cleared Your questions

Hi Candy,
Thanks for answering the queries. But I beg to differ with above.I might be wrong but I think you can exercise your freedom of movement without going to Germany first. Your mother could have applied for TYPE C visa from Non-EU country to 'ACCOMPANY' you to exercise your freedom of movement rights.

It would be helpful if other members can also throw light on this
Thanks

dear,

I already used my rights,I don't want too much paperwork..I secured visa just in one week,
If you want more paperwork, its depends on you,

My experience so far,Its very hard to prove dependency so what I preferred OK,I had done..
And you have same related experience,Please share with us..

Hi Candy,

Yeah you are right. It might have been little difficult to prove dependency from your home state.

What proof you attached to obtain the tourist visa for your relative?

I think you might have collected paperwork for that as well e.g proof of accomodation, finances etc.

I do not have the same related experience so far. But I am thinking to use this method to bring my + 21 years old daughter from NON EU state. I would definitely stay in touch with you regarding this.

Thanks

Hi candy2012

Thanks for sharing your story. Can you clarify how you travelled from Germany to UK?

I am not clear whether you came via Ireland or direct? Did you drive from Germany to Ireland? and then Belfast to London? As you did not have a FP so wondering how you travelled exactly.

Thanks for the clarification.

Moved this case into its own topic to avoid confusion & jumbling with other posts.
