Additional Notes:
I was refused an ILR in October 2015 because of my misreading of the ILR rules in calculating the 5-year eligibility period. See full details of my previous visas and ILR application

I became eligible for ILR in the last week of April and I applied for a personal appointment at Croydon with the help of a solicitor. I hired a solicitor to ensure that I did not fall foul of any changes that may have been introduced by the home office.
The appointment was for 09:10 with the application registration being carried out 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. Case registration and biometrics followed soon after and I was given a successful decision at 11:45. The BRP card was delivered one day later.
