Tier2 to ILR

Post by sxb271 » Sun Feb 28, 2016 5:37 pm

Hi,

I was wondering when I can apply ILR and whether I can use premium service or not.

First visa: 15/02/11 to14/12/13 (Tier2)
Second visa: 12/11/13 to 14/10/15 (Tier2 extension within UK)
Third visa: 30/10/15 to 28/10/18 (Tier2 extension within UK)

First entry to UK: 27/02/11

My 5th year stay reaches on 26/02/16. From 26/02/16, can I apply for ILR? How early and late can I apply ILR?

My current visa doesn't expire until 2018… Does this mean I can leave it until 2018? Or Do I have to apply before my stay reaches 6th year?

Last question, whenever I apply, can I use premium service? Is there any restriction for only certain case can use premium service?

Thanks for all your time and help!!

You could have already applied. You are permitted to apply within 28 days of reaching 5 years residence.

You can apply in person if you wish. There is no restriction on in person for Tier 2 General.

Fees go up on 18th March, so best do it if you want to pay less.

Which category of Tier 2 are you on? Some categories, such as Tier 2 ICT, are not eligible for ILR.

Then if you meet all the requirements, you are good to go.
