What are the next steps after ceremony?

Post by tulipz » Mon Feb 29, 2016 3:55 pm

Hi all,
Can anyone please let me know the next steps for us? We are currently Indian Nationals on ILR. Our Naturalisation applications have been approved and the ceremony is booked for Wednesday (02-March).
As I understand, next steps after the ceremony are :

1. Return BRP cards to Home Office
2. Apply for British passports
3. Surrender Indian Passports
4. Apply for OCI card

Are steps 3 and 4 separate? Do I need to go to VFS twice? Any relevant advice is gratefully received !

Thanks in advance

For questions and answers relating to step 3 and 4, please post in the 'other countries' forum further down on the main forum page.
