Thanks for the update! That was a sneaky move!Rambo_ILR wrote:Seems the fee visa increase comes live from 18th March 2016 not April 6th

There are many visas that lead to ILR, not only Tier 1 with 5 years residence. HO can increase fees earlier if they wish to, it is their prerogative.Rambo_ILR wrote:Indeed sneaky move, they might have seen a high volume of applications made in the month of March/April 2011. They reckon the same after 5 years especially for tier 1 to ILR.

Most likely will come on 18 th March 2016
If any one have any update
Thanks
If it is their prerogative to increase whenever they wish, then there is nothing sneaky about the whole show.CR001 wrote: HO can increase fees earlier if they wish to, it is their prerogative.
Sneaky in the sense that it has usually only been w.e.f. 6th April and all are used to it being as such. But of course HO can move the date forward or backward if they wish to.HarryJones wrote:If it is their prerogative to increase whenever they wish, then there is nothing sneaky about the whole show.CR001 wrote: HO can increase fees earlier if they wish to, it is their prerogative.

CR001 has answered this question in the other thread. Thanks CR001Jacob123 wrote:So the question is - if a PEO booking is done before 18th of March for an actual appointment for April (or any date after 18th March) - do they charge old fees or the new fees at the time of booking.
Moderators can probably answer based on previous years experience.
Cheers,
Jacob.

If you book and pay for your appointment before 18th March, you pay the current fee. No extra is asked for at appointment. If you book your appointment on or after 18 March, you have to pay the new fee.Subh35 wrote:What was CR001's answer, can you share the link for the other post

Response in your post in the British citizenship forum. Please do not post the same query in multiple places.jain208 wrote:Hi,
My NCS appointment is on 29th March, but just came to know that the fees is increasing on 18th March. In this case, what are my options? I will call them up tomorrow to check if they can give me an appointment before 18th March (I checked online and there was no appointment available), but how helpful are they in such scenarios.
A long shot, but as I took the appointment before 18th March, is there a possibility that I be charged the old fees for naturalisation.
Thanks
