How to join Spanish Spouse?

Good day folks.

Please I am currently back to my country Nigeria in order to partake in the national service after university.
I want to join my wife who is a Spanish national, working and living in the UK and she is planning on coming to visit me soon.
My issue is as follows,

-My passport has expired and been renewed.
-I have no residence card
-She is with our marriage certificate (which she would bring along to visit me)

I have nothing of relevance, so I have no idea how to join my wife when she leaves. I want to stay in Spain and possibly do my Masters degree.
I would like to get a Spanish residence card but have no idea how to leave this country first or what to do.

Please can someone assist me with information and steps to take?

If going to Spain you will need a Schengen visa to gain entry into Spain instead.

I am not planning on going to the UK.

I am planning on going to Spain then to Germany for Masters or a new undergraduate course.

So should I apply for a Schengen Visa using our marriage certificate or how do i go about attaining a Spanish family Visa or residence permit?
