British Citizenship application question ,Thanks

Post by pavisa2014 » Mon Mar 07, 2016 8:56 pm

Hi
I think I qualify to apply for British Citizenship now.
But I'm worrying about one thing I've just found out recently .
One of house I rented before which I lived for a year . Landload of house only paid 75% of council tax .
He told council there is only one person there.
So Is this gonna creating problem ?
Many Thanks

How many people lived there and what were they doing? There is a 25% discount entitlement for single occupants (I've had this for years as I live alone).

Also, students in full time education are exempt from council tax so even if you lived with a student you would still be entitled to the single person discount.

Was the council tax bill in your name?

If council tax was not in your name then it is not an issue. It sounds like you were only renting a room in a house, so no issue.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

As above, your landlord is the one who has been committing fraud, not you :)

Hi ,

I believe , the case worker guidance says " Speeding tickets , Coulciltax related isssues will not be part of Good character measures " . I will try digging out the link to the doc , I got that link from this forum .
