5-year route continuity after appeal FLR (M)

Hi there

Does anyone know if after a successful appeal the 5-year route FLR (M) will continue or will it be a switch to something else? Appeal would be for the extension/second part of the 5 year route.

For example, refusal in March 2016, appeal hearing July 2016, documents received September 2016 - in this scenario would the visa be from March or September? Would it still be 5-year route?
