If it is just the case that, for example, your passport reads 'Ritchie John Singh Rohan' and the other documents say 'Ritchie John Rohan' then I think the refusal is very harsh.

Thankyou all for your replies.hsmpseek wrote:But on the application form, only first name and last name is asked to fill.
How can HO say that name does not match?
On Degree certifiacte usually format is first name + middle name + sur name. And on application form they have asked only first and last name.
Richie, What name did you write in Applcation form?

Actually the name on my
degree certificate is: "Rohan FatherName MotherName Surname"
Name on application &
other document is: "Rohan FatherName Surname"
Degree certificate has my mother's name as well.
Can someone suggest what explanation shall I write to HO as my other documents doesn't contain my mother's name on it.
Regards
ok, so what I got from your response is, I should have entered my First name as "Rohan FatherName MotherName" last name as "Surname".Junior0300 wrote:If your name is 'Ritchie John Singh Rohan' then in UK
Your first name would be Ritchie John Singh &
Your last name would be Rohan
Most government databases (Inland Revenue, HO etc) are designed in a way that they store the names this way.
ok, but as I mentioned earlier the name on my Degree certificate has my mother's name on it. But none of the document which I submitted has my mother's name.Junior0300 wrote:The last word in your name is your last name. The rest of the words will be called your first name, thats the rule followed here.
