ILR application

Post by maggi » Fri Mar 11, 2016 1:55 am

Hi,
I have few questions below. Will be grateful if someone helps:
1) I have booked premium service on 17th. My bank statement dates are from 16th - 15th of every month. And it reaches me on 17~19th of every month. I'm quite sure that on my application date, I may not have the very latest statement. The last statement I will take would be more than 31 days old.
Should that be ok as the guide says: "Your most recent payslip and your most recent bank or building society statement. These must be dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of the application."
2) For English Language, original UK degree, with Tier2 points calculator printout sufficient as a proof?
3) Do I need to show tenancy agreement with the supplementary documents? or is it optional and avoidable?
4) What is required for this statment "For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules"
Many thanks in advance :)
Regards
H.

1. This is not acceptable. It clearly states that the statement should be within one calender month.

2. Yes.

3. Not required if the application is for yourself only. If it includes your dependent spouse then it may be required to prove cohabitance, but then again there are other ways such as council tax, gas and energy bills, bank stmts etc and tenancy aggreement is not mandatory.

5. Was the entire 5 year qualifying period spent on Tier2? If yes then nothing extra is required. If the 5 year period includes a combination of Tier1 plus Tier 2, then documentation to prove that requirements as a Tier1 was satisfied is required.
Cheers,
OR

Any particular reason why you can't just quickly pop into your bank and ask for a most recent statement to be printed???

Thanks guys for your replies.
for 1) Yes after your replies, I am thinking to go to my local branch and get the latest statement printed. Its just a hassle which I was trying to avoid (considering all the statements I'm providing for last 12 months are in order and the case of missing last statement seemed to be quite genuine to me due to dates)
Thanks again :)

It will be much more of a hassle if your application is refused and you lose £1900.

I don't understand why people think it is such an issue to go to a bank and ask for statements. They are open on Saturdays.

Can the original bank statements showing salary credits cannot be more than 28 days old?

I am confused now. I am sending my application and claiming my earnings from 27 Feb 2015 to 31 Jan 2016. I am using all the original statements which gets delivered to me by post. The January statement was issued on 06th Feb 2016.

I am sending my application on 15th March 2016. So does it mean that my January statement which was issued to me on 6th Feb 2016 cannot be used even though it is original statement?

Do I need to get this stamped from bank?

You seem confused. The most recent bank statement must not be older than 28 days before the date you submit your application. i.e In your case, dated no later than 16th February.

In that case shall I request my bank to stamp the January bank statement before I post it?

It certainly is confusing as to why the original bank statement which is issued by the bank needs to be within 28 days. Suppose someone is claiming points for earnings from last any 12 months from last 15 months, does it need to be again the same case that statement has to be within 28 days. It will mean that even though the statement is original we have to then go to the branch and get it stamped. It does not make any sense. Bcoz I can claim any earning from past 15 months in that case how can the latest statement be within 28 days. Uff!! Confused!

When did you get paid the salary for the month of Jan 2016? At the beginning of that month or at the end?

As Jan 2016 is inclusive of your previous earnings period and if you indeed got paid at the end of that month then shouldn't the salary for Jan 2016 would be recorded in your Feb 2016 bank statement?

Scorpion123: Thats what said. The january statement which was issued to me on 06th Feb 2016, has my January salary credit reflecting in it. so when I apply for mmy ILR on 15th March, the statement which was issued on 06th Feb 2016 is out of 28 days. Hope I am clear now.

Also, Can someone please confirm about the dates which I need to enter in Page 33, A4?

I am using my earnings from Feb 2015 till Jan 2016. so I have entered the dates for which I am claiming my earnings as 27 Feb 2015 to 31st Jan 2016. Is this correct. these are the dates when salary is actually credited to the bank account.

or should I enter the dates as 01 Feb 2015 to 31st Jan 2016?
