there is nothing complex in it, just you should have your ID card with you and need to know for whome you are making this DD. might be they inquire you about purpose of it as well. thats it.
also it depends on your location, i made it from lahore.

Yesterday i called HO and they give me my refrence number and my application is with case worker now.

hoping for good descion....

Best Regards,
Kash

yes you are rt, it will come under cheque details section.

i see ... but i think Credit Cards decrease proccesing time by minimum four days if cards correctly charged. DD take 5 working days to make clear.

Best of Luck,
Kash

Hello there!

I have been checking this forum from past few weeks and find it really helpful. I have a little problem and was wondering may be you can help with my issue.

i posted my application to HO on 29/11/07 claiming 80 points:

30- bacheloers degree
20-age
5-uk experience
25-previous earnings (UK)

i got a refusal back on 14/12/07 from the caseworker. they didnt give me the points for previous earning as they said they cannot corroborate the evidence provided for the UK earning. The evidence i supplied are 12 months payslips and P60's. i claimed points on the basis of my salary from 01/05 till 12/05. so i had to supply two P60's. ( year 2004-05 and 2005-06 ) inorder to cover the period from jan to march and april to december months. but i didnt write anything to explain that caus i thaught it is very clear. but the caseworker didnt understand that and refused my application. the employers letter which i sent just confirmed my employement and didnt mentioned anything about my salary. but i sent employers letter just as an extra doc.

now i am thinking to take a chance by applying for review. can you tell me now wht shuld i write in the review letter. i.e how shuld i explain that to her.

Many thanks

Grant!

Documents not received yet!!!

Post by asta1 » Thu Dec 20, 2007 10:49 am

Hi All,

Here are my timelines:

Application Sent: Nov 23rd
Application Received by HO: Nov 26th
Credit Card Deduction: Nov 26th
Decision and documents sent back: Nov 29th

It has been more than 20 days now and I still have not received my original documents by airmail. Inspite of my request for a courier pickup on Nov 29th, they have sent the documents by airmail..... probably need to send the fax as soon as the application gets delivered to them instead of waiting for the reference number.....

I am still waiting to see the airmail.... has anyone whose documents were shipped in November by HO still to be received.... I am from Hyderabad, India.... please reply & thanks for all your support...

PraHSMP

How many days did it take for the docs to reach you?

Post by asta1 » Sat Dec 22, 2007 7:42 am

Hi apachegmf,

I have no official link, but have some sources of information & other contacts whose EC was successful.....

But most importantly, please let me know how many days it took for the airmail with the docs to reach you after the HO dispatched them?? I am still waiting for the docs to arrive..... :(

I got to know from HO that my file was approved.... deliberately waiting for the airmail.....

Hi,

I took me around one month for reaching the AIRMAIL, after contacting the HSMP team many times.

Pls mail them for getting the precise state of the AIRMAIL, if they respond to you if they have any issue with address.

Mine got returned to them after 20days , then they replied to me for address again provided the same address got in 10 days.

The normal time of delivery for the AIR MAIL is less than 10 days, if you are not getting your docs with in 10 days then Pls mail them.

If anyone have any details regard to filing of EC, pls let me know.

Hi GMReddy,

The HO people keep saying the same thing.... but it does not usually take so long for delivery... the worst case that I have seen so far by searching on the net is that a person received his docs after 9 weeks in New Zealand. But in case of India, the worst case I saw by reading the online forums was 6 weeks.

My docs were posted on Nov 29th. I am thinking to wait until this month end and if I still don't receive them, then I will email HO to check their undelivered items section to see if the airmail got returned to them as it happenned with apachegmf as mentioned above in this forum itself....

Do you know of any other people in Hyderabad whose docs got posted between Nov 20th-30th and already received the docs?

Regards,
PraHSMP

Hi Hanif,

From which country & city are you from? As far as I know Royal Mail offers recorded mail for India called as 'International Signed For' which is trackable only upto the point of the parcel's exit from the UK.

Also, some people are of the opinion that due to Christmas season and sending gifts by mail is huge now, there could be a delay in receiving the posted items from UK.... let me know from which country & city you are...
