This goes the same for me! My application was received on the 04/03/16. Still waiting for the fee to be withdrawn form my account. I've rung the HO a number of times to gain an understanding of why it's taking so long and they said it is usually withdrawn within the first couple of weeks of them receiving it so I wouldn't stress too much at this point. Let's see if the fee is withdrawn this week! Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you for the reassurance. I hope for the same for you.

Although, frankly speaking, I'm not stressed or worried a bit about this particular extension; not because of my case being straightforward or earning X amount on top of the minimum threshold. May be its because I am engulfed with my current work and the Visa department at my workplace said they'll chase HO up and update me as and when. Bless them!

Going to apply for my partner Flr M.
Just at last minute found that online statements with certain bank comes with the water mark which says this is an online document. Called the bank today and they said another 7-10 working days are required to send the statements by post. Is it OK to send online bank statements which says on every paper this is an online document.
Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

It is highly recommended to wait for the statements to come in post. If you're short on time then the best course of action would be to go to a branch, request the statements for the required time period and ask them to validate it by stamping EACH of the page. Simply sending the online statements might backfire.

Hope this helps.

I have a very similar case as many others. Here is my current timescale.

Application posted 3 March 2016
Application received 4 March 2016

That is where I am! I am so anxious for them to take my money and send my biometrics letter. This is the most stressful thing I have ever done in life. My first visa was not nearly as stressful. I think it is the thought that you could be declined and your life turned upside down. I followed the checklist and believe my case is straight forward.

I thought the money would have been taken by now. Even just the thought that even though the package was signed for that they didn't receive it is driving me mental! I will update my timeline as things progress. Appreciate the support team!!
Hi ronnimcm

Your case sounds exactly like mine, down to the fact we both posted and had our application received on the very same day! At this point I still haven't had the fee deducted, I'm interested to hear where you're at with that?

Has anyone been in a situation where they have had to wait longer than two weeks to have the fee deducted?

We have also received an other separate letter along with biometrics letter which stating my wife's application will decide with in 8 weeks from the date of application. Is this a standard letter they sent to everyone ?? or this is they sent to some applicants which are not straight forward?

Please share your thoughts.

Update on my timeline:

Application sent: 3/3/16

Letter from HO: 16/3/16 dated 14/3/16
Biometrics Letter: still waiting
Fee deducted: Funnily enough still waiting...

And this is where I'm at now. I was beginning to worry that my fee was yet to be taken from my account but it seems in my instance they're doing things a bit backwards.. We'll just wait and see what happens!

Hello svatuk, I think the second letter you received that is stating that your application will be decided within 8 weeks is the standard acknowledgement letter. Why do you think it's for not straight forward case?

Hello Astro123
Thanks for the reply.
The only problem is my wife (applicant) is on tier-2, her company where she is working now their tier-2 licence is suspended. Not sure how HO will react on it.

Hi hcl

Very odd with our applications being at about the same time. I'm sure it's just how it hits their office and how it is stacked. I have now had my fees deducted and submitted my biometrics. They were surprisingly painless. Was in and out in 15 minutes for myself and both kids to the biometrics. Keep us updated

Same day application - 16/03/2016 (Croydon)
Decision made - same day i.e. 16/03/2016
Biometric card received - 18/03/2016

Everything surprisingly fast. I was worried about not receiving the card in good time as travelling next weekend but receiving it in two days was something I was not expecting. :D

Letter from HO: 16/3/16 dated 14/3/16
Biometrics Letter: 23/3/16 dated 21/3/16 (because of the Easter holidays I will have to wait until next week to submit them)
Fee deducted: I received a letter on 23/3/16 dated 21/3/16 saying that my application was incomplete as there had been an issue with processing my payment.

Apparently I had not submitted the correct information regarding my account. They said I might have written the wrong number down or perhaps there was some confusion in the HO. I have now submitted a bankers draft to ensure there are no further complications. I must say I find this incredibly irritating. As far as I'm aware, I had not made a mistake on the application form. I had read over it a number of times and my partner had checked it a number of times. And now because of human error I've had to resubmit my payment and waste more time. What's frustrating is they took 3 weeks to notify me about this. But I suppose there is nothing I can do but wait.

Will update on any news.

That is irritating!!!! I haven't had any further updates on our yet either. It is for myself and my two kids. Submitted biometrics on the 16th. Looking at timeliness it looks like they are slowing down. Must be getting a high level of applications or have people on annual leave. Just bunking in for the long wait.
