Divorce after 5 year of marriage from EEA national

Post by makalele » Sun Feb 28, 2016 11:54 pm

I have recently applied for PR, my self and EEA have been married for 5 years and I still have my residence card till may 2017. So I have applied for PR and I have submitted all the necessary documents without copies. Does it really matter that I have not submitted copies? Also has any one in this category applied and receive their PR.

PR applied for 22/02/2016
signed for 23/02/2016
money taken from the account on 26/02/2016

I am currently divorced with my eea wife and this after we have being together for 5 years. So I have applied for PR event though I still have my residence card till May 2017. I know people will be wondering how come. I got married in August 2010, I was given 9 month FMRC and that took them like 4 month to get back to me. After which I applied for the residence card and that took them like 6 month and all this period was buying me time in the married. So right now my marriage is more than 5 years and I still have my residence card till may 2017. We are no more together after 5 years and I have applied for PR.

PR applied for 22/02/2016
signed for 23/02/2016
money taken from the account on 26/02/2016
biometric done - 15/03/2016
received coa - 20/03/2016
awaiting PR ...

I have included all treaty right for 5 years. I think is better that I applied now, so that I can know where I stand before the eu referendum
