tier1 general to ILR

hi
my ilr is due on 11 may 2016 and i wana go by post my wife came in uk june 2015 and my baby is due on 24th april my questipn are

1 my wife wil apply flr m isthis right ? and she need A1 language test or not ?

2 what about my baby if i get ilr then what would be my baby status what have to do

have to apply regitration and then passport am i right ? thanks

1. If you are applying for ILR based on 5 years residence on Tier 1 G, then your wife can continue to extend her Tier 1 G visa or if she wishes, she can switch to FLR(M).

2. If baby is born in the UK, then once you have ILR, you can register the baby as British on form MN1. If baby is born abroad, the baby will need a visa.

thanks for reply and if my wife apply extend dependent tier1 g or flrm so she A1 languauge test or not thanks

English A1 required for FLR(M).

If she changes to FLR(M), you need to meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa (wife only) but more if you have a child that is not British. FLR(M) will also reset her clock towards ILR and she will have to wait 5 years on FLR(M) - 2 x 2.5 year visas.
