can a tier 2 visa holder hold shares of a company

Hi, everyone, I am holding a tier 2 visa in Uk. Meanwhile, I am holding shares of a company registered in the Netherlands. Does it against the law of Tier 2 work permit regulations? do I have to pay tax to UK?
I don't know if "co-founder" / "holding shares" is considered as another job.

Can't see any issue with it but you will have to pay tax in UK subject to any DTA.

thanks, and then, can I take a position in that company, something like ... project manager? what if I get income from that company. then I have to pay income tax in both countries? does that count as a second job? which should not be longer than 20 hours?

I just don't quite understand the tier 2 visa regulations - not allowed to take a second job for longer than 20 hours. it only applies to the jobs in UK, right? another oversea job is fine?

If you have some sort of work visa for whichever EU country, I can't see it being an issue, provided of course that you are fulfilling ALL the requirements of your Tier 2 G visa. You will have to check on the income declaration aspect though. We don't have tax specialists on the forum though.
