HSMP renewal before due date?

Post by venusvixem » Wed Dec 19, 2007 10:10 pm

Hi,

Can I get my HSMP renewed before its due date?

Reason I need to do this is because I want to change job and no one will employ me with less than 6 months remaining on visa.

Please help if you are aware.

Thanks,
Venus

Why? someone hired me with one month left on the permit.
You typically cant apply more than 28 days before expiry

No more than 28 days before expiry date based on the guidelines...No chance before this period.

Thanks, for the info.

Some of the good employers ask this question, that how long my HSMP is valid for, and thats when everything starts going wrong. Guess I will have to stick with current employer for a while.

don't see how. If you are working, then you are renewed (more or less) You just have to make sure you make enough to satisfy the renewal criteria. So if its going wrong, its because you don't know how to sell yourself or the visa.
