Post by happy1982 » Tue Mar 29, 2016 12:52 pm

Dear Members,

I am going to apply Naturalization next month, just want to know do i need to send my tax return as well with form. I am a taxi driver and started taxi 7 months ago. It is legal requirement or optional?
I will appreciate your response.

As part of the list of supporting documents, on page 31, Section 7 it states
"SECTION 7 Evidence of tax for self-employed applicants only
The most recent HM Revenue & Customs Self Assessment Statement of Account"

My take on this is that if you are self-employed, then it should be included. Others may have a different view/experience though

It must be included.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

When we applied 2 weeks ago( PR route ) NCS guy didn't take my husbands( non EU) tax return to copy. He said we dont need to include it in application. Now I am worried.
