Movingto Ireland

Post by Morbeous » Sun Apr 03, 2016 6:39 pm

Hi, I am currently living in Spain with my non EU Wife. I will be moving to Ireland later this year as I would rather live in an English speaking country and to be honest it should be easier to get a job. I am self sufficient in Spain but am bored not working. I am travelling to Ireland next week to start the process of buying a house. I will be a cash buyer so a mortgage will not be a problem. This though will eat a chunk of my savings. What I am interested in knowing how much money in my bank account is considered as self sufficient as theres a chance I may not have found a job by time we move there.

thanks

I must add I am a British citizen and my wife has a European Residency permit for Spain so I believe a visa will not be needed as A European Residents Permit allows freedom of movement within Europe.
