Help with tier 1 dependent child

Post by phanidhar6039 » Tue Apr 05, 2016 10:19 am

Hi,

I have recently got my ILR last week and wife and kid (born outside uk) are tier 1 pbs dependent visa. They come under 5 years rule. Does my kid qualify for citizenship as i have ILR or do i need to wait until my wife qualifies for it?

Wife came to uk on - 06-sep-2013
kid came to uk on - 02-02-2015

Any pointers will be great.

Thanks,
P

No, your child does not qualify for citizenship. Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR.

Child will follow the same route as mother (Tier 1 G Dep >> ILR >> Citizenship)

Thanks a lot for reply CR001.

Another small query while paying the IHS fee i have registered my wife and kid as dependent to her but not sure what needs to be filled in this below section. if i fill my ILR details i am gettin £3600 for both as IHS fee. Can i ignore this section and pay default sum £600 each?

Are you applying to join or remain with a person already in the UK?
+ Add this person's details
You don't need to add this person's details if they are a UK or EEA citizen.

DO NOT fill in your details. She and the child must apply alone.
