Apply for British Citizenship / Nutralisation

Can anyone please advise me how long after being granted ILR can you apply for Citizenship? ILR will be granted from a 2 year spouse visa.

That depends upon whether the person is married to (or in Civil Partnership with) a British Citizen.

Of course, if the only thing you want is being neutered, you don't have to go through all that immigration malarkey.

You can apply for naturalisation (british passport) after 3 years if you have level 3 english.

Or if your spouse kick you out, then after 6 years.

Thanks so 3 years if still married, and if something was to go wrong in the marriage and he got divorced it would be 6 years.
Is this correct?

What are the differences between ILR and Citizenship? Are there any real benefits travel wise?

If not married to a British citizen at the time of the application, then see also Standard requirements for naturalisation.

ILR holders are subject to the Returning Residents rules.
