Spouse visa rejection - Should I reapply immediately? Help!

Post by noelnoelnoel » Tue Apr 05, 2016 7:25 pm

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some help about what t do next with my wife's spouse visa application - thanks in advance

Got our decision letter today and was rejected because;
a) I didn't know you needed to fill in an Appendix 2 form and
b) I'd only given them proof of income for £17, 000 over the year (We were applying via Category 2).

I'd attach the letter if I could work out how ;-(

In hindsight I'm feeling foolish for overlooking this stuff but at least it tells me what's missing from our application and now I'm looking to reapply (obviously with this additional info).

My questions;
- Providing I have all the missing info now, can you see any problems with my applying straight after this rejection?
- Am I right to be thinking that this a straight forward 'missing info' case that can be rectified easily?
- I want to apply via fast-track but read somewhere that after a rejection fast-track service is pointless. Any advice on this?
- Is the APPENDIX 2 (VAF 4A DECEMBER 2013) still current?

Any other comments and questions welcomed - thanks for your time....

You can apply at any point when you have all the most recent documents. You will have to pay the visa fee and immigration health surcharge again.

£17,000pa is not enough by the way. The requirement is £18,600pa (if there are no children).

Not sure if the form Appendix 2 is the most recent but I think it is.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the fast track process?
Or any other advice?
Thanks
