Tier 2 General Visa, Salary Requirements

Post by geetaghanti0123 » Mon Apr 04, 2016 4:06 pm

Hi All,
I got my Tier 2 General Visa from reputed employer on 15th July 2015. My Salary is 31000. I am hired as an experienced hire. With the new constraint on salary requirement, I believe if my Salary is going to be 31000, at 2020(even after 5 years), I wont be eligible for ILR?

Has HMRC made a mandatory rule that with experienced hire, the minimum salary should be 35000 on tier 2 General? or So??

or is it only to assess eligibility for ILR?

Also, I believe my designation and my salary is low compared to my experience, can I do something about it??
My employer didn't give me higher salary but compensated by offering joining bonus. can that be considered by HMRC?

It is HO (Home Office) NOT HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) that makes the rules.

The scale of the income requirement is below.

35,000 from 6th APril 2016
35,500 from 6th APril 2018
35,800 from 6th April 2019
36,200 from 6th April 2020
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Hi Aiza
This salary limit doesnt apply to you as you are applying as a dependent to your husband.
This is for people applying as primary applicant.

hope this helps.

Thanks matrix for pointing that out.

My apologies, I meant HO.

But does my salary need to be £35,000 from my last COS --> Tier 2 Permit application,

or does my salary have to be £35,000 for my ILR application.

What I mean by this is... I shall apply for a extension of my current permit in Oct, 2016. And my ILR in Oct 2017. Does my Salary have to be£ 35,000 in Oct 2016 or can it wait to Sept 2017, in order for it to be on my last payslip, which I will submit to the HO for my ILR.
