Previous Earnings Docs

Post by satn » Mon Dec 24, 2007 11:22 am

Hi All,

I am submitting the following docs in evidence of my earnings from Jan-07 to Dec-07.
1. Income tax return, ITR-2 Form (Apr06 - Mar07)
2. 12 months salary slips (Jan07 - Dec07)
3. 12 months bank statements.(Jan07 - Dec07)

I have the following doubts.

1. The salary information in my salary slips do not match/correlate with the
gross annual income in the ITR-2 form, because my gross annual earnings(ITR-2)
had income from other sources also.

I am claiming points in the earnings section just on the basis of my salary.
Can it cause any trouble here?
Do I have to get a letter from my CA explaining the same.

2. Is Form 16 mandatory or just good to have?
Is it required in my case.

-Thanks

Hi Satn,

No need to worry. Attach the Tax document and state in the exceptional consideration that "In India, the financial year is from 1-Apr to 31-Mar. Thus current Income Tax return document covers only part of my claim. I will be receiving tax papers for current financial year only by mid of year 2008. Hence original bank statements are attached as corroborating evidence."

Follow this link and goto Q39. Download the template for Salaried employment.. fill it up properly.. and give remarks wherever applicable.
http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... p_faq.html

-Make sure wage slips are original (on letter heard OR attested by company)
- Bank statements are on letter head or attested by bank.
- Does company name appears in the bank statement against the salary credit entry? Dont panic even if its not.. if yes, then its an advantage..

Thanks hsmpseek,

Does the exceptional consideration statement needs to be given by my CA on his letter head or can I give this statement.

Also Do I need to submit Form-16.

Dude,

CA need not write anything. On your Income Tax Return document (Original) its written what period it covers.

Please go through the HSMP application form. In that, there is a box provided for writing reason for exceptional consideration. You have to write the statement over there.. Thats it.

Man... take a print of Application form/guidance notes.. study it well.. its very straight forward if your case is not too complex..

all the best

Submit the Saral form (original stamped by tax authority) and Form 16. I did the same and got the approval too.
