Expired IELTS are valid for naturalization or not ?

Post by MIL3STON3 » Fri Apr 08, 2016 10:32 am

Hi All,

I am preparing to apply for naturalization in 3 months time, I wonder if any one knows "When applying for naturalization, expired IELTS certificate is enough to prove English proficiency ?? "

I passed my IELTS in 2010 (band 6.5) whilst applying for my Tier 1 General visa. I applied for Tier 1 visa and it went successive.

I am thinking to attach same IELTS result with my naturalization application, but don't know if it will be acceptable or not ???????

Regards,

I am also in similar situation. But bit worried that some NCS people may insist on latest english certificate from approved test centres or a Naric certificate for the degree. Be aware that PBS calculator is no longer in use from 6 April (Hope some admin will update this in the faq).

If you want to be completely safe , You can apply for a naric certification for your degree. It will cost £££. For my own case , I am still undecided on doing that.

My citizenship was approved In March 2016 (applied in Dec 2015). I have provided the IELTS certificate which I did in 2007. I have used the same IELTS certificate for my initial Tier 1 application, then ILR and now citizenship.
Hope that will be helpful
