Sent SAR on 19th Feb, got a letter a couple of days ago acknowledging my request.

Looks like I'm not being dealt with by the fast track trial like some have been. I'm interested to see what UKVI holds on me.

Dear all,

I just applied for the EEA (PR) residence card and waiting for it. I came to UK in September 2010 and my question is: Once I receive the PR, can I directly apply for citizenship or Do I need to wait one year from the date of the issue of the PR card? Any EEA nationalities facing the same questions? Did anyone get a car clarification? I would be extremely grateful for your advice.

It's the date that you acquire PR status that matters, not when you receive the card.

I acquired PR in 2012, got my PR card in Feb 2016 and applied for naturalisation in March 2016. It wasn't a problem.

I have a question for you since you already applied for citizenship. I saw you don't need to be out of the country more than 90 days in the last 12 months. Does it mean 90 days in total regardless of the nature of trip? I mean if I travel with work a lot does this count towards that 90 days or they don't make any distinction and take the total number of days out of the country ? I would appreciate your answer

There is discretion for those who have jobs which require them to work abroad. I suggest reading pages 7 & 8 of AN Booklet

Apparently, a mistake. Confirmation of PR is still required.
