Application Restrictions

Post by wpongal » Fri Apr 08, 2016 3:32 pm

dear friends

this is regarding the options we need to have for the "newborn baby" in india

1. we are planning for right of abode/certificate of entitlement route on indian passport

is it compulsary to submit the application by either of the parent at VFS?
- myself: working in london would need to be back in 2/3 weeks of baby's delivery.
i'm not sure if we would be in a position to apply while i'm there with dependencies on passport and local procedures.
- my wife: would be busy with baby and almost impossible to get out for an application-day-out

the intention is to not loose time because of the restrictions , if any

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

regards,
wpongal

Thanks CR001

I am checking if the application has to be submitted by the CHILD's PARENT IN PERSON?

Can someone else on our behalf submit the application?

thanks

dear friends

i got a reply from vfs india that children under the age of 5 must visit the centre for the biometrics to be taken. hence, my question is answered - either of the parent need to be with the baby (1/2 months old) while applying for RoA-CoE

thanks

dear friends,

i am checking the document set required for the baby born in india for uk residents
- british father (naturalised)
- indian mother (ilr)

1. indian passport for baby
2. parents marriage certificate
3. father;s british passport (copy)
4. mothers indian passport with ilr card (copy)
5. residential proof in uk - bank / council / gas-water / phone bill / et al
6. nhs records for mother - copy
7. all documents leading to birth in india (indian hospital records) - copy

a cover letter stating the reason for the right to abode for the baby
